As if Clueless being remade couldn’t get any better, Girls Trip writer Tracy Oliver is developing the remake with Paramount Pictures.
According to Variety, Marquita Robinson, writer on the Netflix comedy series GLOW and Amazon Prime’s Survivor’s Remorse, has also been hired to write the script.
Oliver and Robinson’s heavy involvement in the movie’s development has provided not only women but women of color the opportunity to shape and create diverse stories.
Crazy excited to be producing a *new* take on one of my favorite movies of all time, #Clueless, with the hilarious and super talented @MarqRobinson writing it!!! As. If. https://t.co/wNH2OIdopQ

The original screenplay was written and directed by Amy Heckerling. It was set in 90s Beverly Hills with actors like Paul Rudd, Donald Faison, and Stacey Dash.
The 1995 classic was originally written as a critique of changes in Generation Y. With the film in its early stages, little details have emerged other than the fact that it may be targeted toward Generation X.
The film does not have an official release date or cast yet, but if Girls Trip was any indication, this film will be amazing.
